On November 6th, Palestinian author Mosab Abu Toha, winner of a 2025 Pulitzer Prize, will share some of his poetry and discuss his recent experiences in Gaza, highlighting the challenges that young people and educators face. The program, from 6-9 PM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Inwood, will kick off “Threads Between Us,” a two-day celebration of Palestinian culture and creativity presented by the Inwood-based micro funding initiative, Goods for Gaza.
That evening and November 7th from 11AM to 8 PM, New Yorkers will be able to see and purchase original art, and view films, photography, and new books from some of Gaza’s leading creative voices.
On November 7th, human rights scholar A. Kayum Ahmed will lead discussions on peaceful resistance, and there will be special educational workshops and arts and crafts workshops for children.
A live screening of the film “Phoenix Rising,” and an interactive introduction to Dabke dance will round out the program.
All proceeds will go to the artists whose works are exhibited at the event, and to the families served by Goods for Gaza. If you cannot attend, please consider supporting the event through a direct contribution.
