Come experience a vibrant celebration of our community through art!
Join us for a special artist talk and viewing of a stunning 32-foot mural by Dominican American multidisciplinary artist Danny Peguero, born and raised in Washington Heights. This colorful piece captures the spirit, culture, and everyday beauty of Washington Heights and Inwood—and was thoughtfully co-designed alongside local community members.
During the event, Danny will share his creative journey—from his early passion for art, to working with global brands like Nike and Apple, to returning to deeply rooted, community-centered projects. His work has been commissioned by major institutions including HBO, Warner Bros., and the Hispanic Society Museum & Library, and his murals for In the Heights are permanently displayed at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the artist, hear the story behind the mural, and celebrate the power of community-driven art.
All are welcome!
