The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance NoMAA is proud to showcase and celebrate innovative, community-led arts initiatives that are working to expand arts and culture capacity and equity through cross-sector collaboration and inclusive community engagement.
The NoMAA 2017 Technical Assistance Institute will be mini symposium organized around the general theme of alternative, community-based, arts-and-culture programming in our uptown neighborhoods. Invited panelists from various organizations working in the arts and beyond will be asked to give a brief summary highlighting examples of progress -successes and stumbles- and outlining future goals. The audience will include artists, educators, arts organizations, as well as partners in government, business, health, faith and other organizations engaged in the arts or community development. Participants will walk away with practical steps they might implement or adapt in their work as artists, educators or stakeholders in our on-going efforts to support artistic and creative experiences as essential parts of daily life and to preserve uptown’s cultural legacy.

The Institute is “pay what you can”. No one will be turned away. You can register without paying, just put a $0 donation when you fill out the form. We hope you can attend.
