Where? Mainly at the historic Savoy Ballroom, where the dance of the Lindy Hop was perfected close to 100 years ago. Come celebrate the famous Savoy Ballroom where it all Began for the famous union of jazz and jazz dance…
Join us as we celebrate 98: Learn about the world renowned Jazz that infused this famed dance art form of the Lindy Hop – and the place that made it great! You’ll hear from those who where there, such as Savoy Legend and 1958 Harvest Moon Ball Champion Sonny Allen.
There is an urgent need to keep these cultures alive and thriving in Harlem, see and learn how YOU can be a part of the movement. So be there for Rare Film Clips, Interviews, Rare Artifacts, Q & A, Swinging Music from the 20th and 21st centuries…. and a great evening for all!
