Flourish

Come join us for Flourish at J. Hood Wright Park for a day filled with plant love! The day starts with a plant walk by Jerise Fogel leading into a cyanotypes art-making project with Josefina Hernandez. The event culminates in a dance inspired by the local plants, often the overlooked ones, and it will incorporate original poetry and music from local poets, musicians, and dancers.

11AM Plant walk: Meet in front of Recreation Center

12PM Cyanotypes workshop: Main center lawn

1PM Performance: Elevated rocky area in southwest section of the park closest to W. 173 St/dog run

Bring your own blanket/chairs/snacks to enjoy!

Park entrances are along Ft. Washington Avenue/ W. 174th Street & W. 173rd Street (accessible) as well as another accessible entrance at Haven Avenue at W. 173rd Street.
