SUBMISSION FORM BELOW

Seeking original artwork for 181/184 Street & 190 Street MTA elevators from Community Board 12 residents.

This project is a continuation of a community-led project known as the MTA-AU Subway Elevator Poster Project. It is fully rooted in the community — the result of efforts begun by the Washington Heights Quality of Life Committee, (chaired by Rosa Naparstek, Director of Artists Unite), and carried on by Artists Unite with the full support of Community Board 12 and all local elected officials. The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance is excited to officially partner in an expanded version of the project in the newly renovated 181/184 Street and 190 Street elevators.

This project is funded by the Medical Center Neighborhood Fund (MCNF), which has been supporting the Washington Heights and Inwood communities since 1987. MCNF is a volunteer-run project of Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian, and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
