2021 Uptown Arts Stroll Poster Contest Winners

NoMAA is delighted to announce this year’s winning designs for the annual Uptown Arts Stroll/Paseo de las Artes poster contest.  Thank you to all the artists who submitted their wonderful designs and to the jurors who participated on the selection committee.  

First Prize: Marta Blair

Marta Blair was born in Medellin, Colombia and moved to NYC in 1997. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from The National University of Colombia and a BFA in Graphic Design and has worked in visual arts and textile design over the last 20 years. She also has also been part of the Upper Manhattan community for about 20 years and so happy to be part of Cornerstone Studios since 2015.

Second Prize: Anthony Rojas

Anthony Rojas is a Latino multi-disciplinary artist based in New York City. He is a recent graduate of Purchase College where he majored in Cinema Studies and double-minored in Film Production and Screenwriting.  His debut into the festival-circuit, Negatives, won “Excellence in Filmmaking” in the Student Film Category at the Inwood Film Festival, March 2019. His recent short documentary, Con Dios, was officially selected at HBO’s New York Latino Film Festival, August 2020.

Third Prize: Lilia Levin

Lilia Levin is an artist, jewelry designer, educator, curator, volunteer, New Yorker, mom of two.  She is passionate about her planet, her country, her city, her community, her family. She is passionate about art. She believes that her work is a tiny but present piece in the whole that is humanity.  She believes in the oneness of humanity and in the importance of each individual being.
