Rent Party
Inspired by the late Tom Burgess’s efforts to recirculate books and more, and akin to what we do at our main Word Up location, our collective does our best to recirculate this space, where a lot happens beyond the pay-what-you-can books: readings, concerts, art shows, classes, story times, meetings, clothing swaps, record fairs, screenings, book clubs, art builds, study groups, and more.
The Rent Party will help support the space during the slower summer months as we gear up to sign a new lease. Sliding scale admission ($10–$20) for the party on Saturday, May 31st, 6–8pm, at Recirculation (876 Riverside Dr. @ 160th St.), gets you food, drink, and live musicfrom Trio Cachimbo, featuring longtime Heights resident Marcus Persiani.
