Prelude Opera presents Hansel and Gretel

Prelude Opera presents a delightful new staging of Engelbert Humperdinck’s classic opera for children, Hansel and Gretel in Washington Heights on October 18, 19, 25, & 26^th, 2025. The one-hour production will present the fairy tale in English, sung by professional opera singers and accompanied by piano and the Leadlights String Ensemble. Please note: The performance on Sunday October 19th, is offered free of charge, and will be held on the Cabrini Shrine lawn–please feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on!  (In the case of inclement weather, performance will be moved inside the shrine.)
