Open Studio—Bloom: Floral Messages

Join us for a free art-making workshop and be part of our community ofrenda! Inspired by the marigolds of Día de Muertos and the symbolic language of flowers across cultures, create paper flowers dedicated to people, places, or traditions you wish to remember.

Your creations will become part of What We Carry Forward, the participatory ofrenda led by artist Devin Osorio and Tomorrow’s Ancestors for this year’s Día de Muertos at The Met Cloisters celebration.

About Tomorrow’s Ancestors: Founded by artist Devin Osorio and curator Emma Nuzzo, Tomorrow’s Ancestors is an initiative channeling art as a technology of connection, using Osorio’s studio practice as an engine for participatory projects that dissolve the line between fine art and community practice.
