National Dance Day Walk & Performance: Alterations and Repairs

Celebrate National Dance Day with a guided outdoor arts walk through Fort Tryon Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. Uptown Dance Collective presents Alterations and Repairs: Nature and Us, combining dance, live music and poetry along the park’s paths.

Meet at the Broadway and Dongan Place entrance at 3 p.m. The walking route uses wheelchair-accessible pathways. The program includes Bomba along the way and a chance to learn Samba at the end. Bring a light cushion, blanket or folding chair that is easy to carry between performance stops.

Admission is free; reserve a free spot through the organizer’s official ticket link. Rain date: Saturday, September 26, 3 to 5 p.m.
