Leandro Miguel Cruz

Leandro Cruz paints playful and surreal images in bright, bold color.  Cruz was born in the Dominican Republic and was raised in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. Cruz paints in oils and acrylics, working in a style that draws influence from
Cubism and his Caribbean roots. When painting, Cruz draws inspiration from the natural world. He is particularly intrigued by the vibrant colors of fish, birds, and other animal life.

Leandro is on West 175th Street & Ft. Washington Avenue in front of J. Hood Wright Park weekdays through October from 1-6pm. Say hello and view his artwork!
