Fight Writer’s Block Fest!
This spring, Uptown Stories is tackling one of the most debilitating and corrosive conditions affecting our youth today.
There is no warning. It can strike anyone, anytime.
Every 14 minutes and 37 seconds, Writer’s Block infects the imagination of a child, stealing word after word from the most prolific young writers of our time.
Pages remain blank, souls are tormented, and yes, snacks are just… uneaten. There’s a sudden absence of ideas where they used to flow freely, a sense of agonizing doubt where there used to be confidence.
On June 13, we’ll be gathering to stop Writer’s Block in its tracks. This dangerous affliction can only be defeated by showing up for our young writers, hearing their stories, and playing silly word games. You can be the hero in a blocked writer’s story.
If you’re unable to say “yes” to the Fest, we sympathize, and hope that you’ll make a donation to help fight the horror of Writer’s Block for all the young people in Upper Manhattan.
With your support, we can ensure every young writer finds the words they need to write the world.
