Aseel Sawalha is a cultural anthropologist whose work is informed by ethnographic fieldwork research including projects with Bedouin tribes, urbanites in post-war Lebanon, NYC women artists & the art scene in Jordan. Sawalha’s towering media work critiques overconsumption & celebrates books as vessels of memory & dialogue, addressing the future of knowledge & culture amid environmental strain.
