Jazz Power Initiative’s OPEN STUDIO is now open for youths ages 10-17! Get a taste of Jazz Power Youth in action with this free class in voice, dance and theater arts, on Thursdays, January 20th, February 17th and March 10th, from 4:30pm-7:00pm at United Palace, Broadway and 175th street in Washington Heights. This series is led by the community-oriented jazz pianist, composer, and educator, Eli Yamin with acclaimed jazz vocalist Antoinette Montague and veteran theater director and choreographer Mickey Davidson and introduces young performers to an amazing experience in blues and jazz, activating their imagination and creative self-expression through song and dance. Students who participate in one or more OPEN STUDIO become eligible to receive a full scholarship for our 2022 Spring Youth Production of Message From Saturn, a space odyssey where children discover the healing power of the blues and how they can share it!
