Wearing Power: Gallery Talk & Mosaic Workshop

In conjunction with the exhibition, Wearing Power: Luxury and Status in Ancient Iberia, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of conversation and art-making.

At 3pm, exhibition curator Dr. Noemí Espinosa will give a gallery talk tracing the formation of the Hispanic Society’s world-class antiquities collection. Then from 4 to 6pm, explore the art of mosaic-making with Mano a Mano. You’ll learn the technique of selecting and arranging tiles and create a beautiful 4×4” mosaic inspired by the Hispanic Society’s collection.

Wearing Power: Luxury and Status in Ancient Iberia is currently on view until January 5, 2025.

The event is finished.
