We are excited to announce that Experience Africa – Season 2 is officially here! Organized by the New York African Chorus Ensemble, Inc., this free program invites you to explore African culture through music, dance, arts & crafts, and fashion.
All classes are FREE and open to the public.

Join our beginner-friendly Afrodance session with gentle, African-inspired movement tailored to all mobility levels. Then create your own beaded jewelry, exploring colors and patterns as expressions of identity.

African Bingo
Join us for African Bingo: a fun, cultural twist on a classic game where you learn about African traditional popular foods, clothing, places, and everyday life while enjoying lively conversation and making new friends.

African Songs, Rhythm Games & Storytelling
Explore African culture through rhythm games, storytelling, and learning songs in African languages. There will be a call-and-response activity. Participants will also enjoy movement and light percussion.
Pre–New Year Afrodance (Amapiano Edition) & African Headwraps
Celebrate the season with a fun New Year Afrodance session featuring beginner-friendly Amapiano movements set to the viral South African beats everyone is dancing to online. Then enjoy a hands-on African Headwraps workshop, where you’ll learn a few simple, beautiful styles. Feel free to bring your own head tie.
