Unearthing Ancient African Knowledge about Water through Film, Negro Spirituals, Poems and Dialogue We invite you to join us on a transformative journey as we bring to you an engaging afternoon filled with film, Negro Spirituals, poetry, food, and meaningful dialogue. Come and co-create with us an experience that celebrates our ancient wisdom—a wisdom that endured through the challenges of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and remains relevant even in our lives today. Our goal is to foster greater understanding between our multicultural communities in New York City and increase pride in our collective achievements. *Film: Explore Nigeria’s sacred healing waters in our film “We Are The Endless Roar” (74 minutes). Through these encounters, we’re reminded of the deep bond between water and life. *Soulful Melodies: Discover the sacred African traditional beliefs about water that are embedded in some Negro Spirituals.
