As Canaries In A Coal Mine: Portraits of Avian Families at Risk by Jessica Lagunas

Artist Jessica Lagunas presents “As Canaries in a Coal Mine. Portraits of Avian Families at Risk,” a new series of works that uses fabric swatches collected from various sources to create images of bird species considered “at risk,” according to a report from the National Audubon Society.

Join us for the Opening Reception where you’ll have the chance to learn more about the making of the exhibition from the artist herself! 

Date: Thursday, October 23, 2025 

Time: 6pm-8pm (Guided Tour begins at 7pm)

Cost: FREE!

Location: Dyckman Farmhouse Museum (on the corner of 204th and Broadway)
