HISTORY / HISTORIA
The 18th Uptown Arts Stroll / Paseo de las Artes in Washington Heights-Inwood and West Harlem and the World Premiere of “In The Heights The Movie” takes place Uptown next June. The Uptown Arts Stroll started as a volunteer driven one-day event the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2003 and has grown into a month-long festival celebrating Northern Manhattan’s performing and visual artists. The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) has produced the Uptown Arts Stroll since 2008.
/ El 18º Paseo de las Artes en Washington Heights-Inwood y West Harlem al igual que el estreno mundial de la película “In The Heights” tendrá lugar en el alto Manhattan el próximo junio. El Paseo empezó gracias a un grupo de voluntarios el domingo antes del Día de Acción de Gracias de 2003 y se ha convertido en un festival de un mes que celebra todo tipo de artistas en el alto Manhattan. Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) ha producido el Paseo desde 2008.

REQUIREMENTS / CONDICIONES

Artwork must accommodate 11″x17″ poster, palm card, and various sizes for social media (300 dpi jpg, 4-5mb) / Debe cubrir las dimensiones de un afiche de 11×17 pulgadas (300 dpi jpg, 4-5mb)
Consideration given to unpublished eye-catching original artwork that captures Northern Manhattan’s diverse arts and cultural community. / Se le dará mayor consideración a imágenes originales e inéditas que destaquen las características del alto Manhattan
Artists may only submit one (1) design for consideration. / El/la artista sólo podrá presentar un diseño.
JPEG files must be minimum / Los archivos de imagen deben tener un mínimo de: 300 dpi – 4-5mb

1st, 2nd and 3rd PLACE WINNER SELECTION / SELECCIÓN DE LOS GANADORES
A panel of distinguished judges from the local arts community will select the grand prize 1st place winner, 2nd and 3rd place winners. / Un panel de jueces distinguidos de la comunidad artística y local seleccionará El 1er, 2ndo y 3er ganador.
The names of the artists will not be submitted to the judges. / Los nombres de los artistas no se someterán a los jueces.
NoMAA owns the intellectual property rights on 2020 Uptown Arts Stroll poster designs for the winner, 2nd and 3rd finalists. / NoMAA es dueña de la propriedad intelectual de los diseños para el 2020 Paseo de las Artes del ganador y los finalistas 2 y 3.

GRAND PRIZE 1st PLACE WINNER AGREES THAT / EL/LA GANADOR/A SELECCIONADO/A ACEPTA QUE
The artist will work with NoMAA to place the Uptown Arts Stroll opening, closing and honorees on the final design. / El artista trabajará con NoMAA para colocar texto adicional que incluye recepción de apertura y cierre y los homenajeados del Paseo en el diseño final del afiche.
The 1st place image will be used exclusively to promote the 2020 Uptown Arts Stroll in print and online. / La imagen ganadora del 1er lugar será utilizada en todo tipo de material para promover el Paseo.
