The NYC Plaza Program is a key part of the City’s effort to ensure that all New Yorkers live within a 10-minute walk of quality open space.\nUnder this partnership CUIMC will oversee the implementation of Haven Plaza. Haven Plaza is an interim pedestrian plaza located on Haven Avenue between Fort Washington Ave and 169th Street that opened to the community on July 1, 2019. Haven Plaza, will be one of 73 plazas across New York City, aiming to provide and expand green open space, enhance pedestrian mobility, and increase community engagement for the 15,000 individuals that use this corridor on a daily basis. The plaza is much more than a campus center, it is a community space to be enjoyed by neighborhood residents and visitors.\n
