DESCRIPTION:Join us for a cozy evening of musical performances by Randy Mason & Jamell Ogbonna, Evelyn Petcher Brandes, and Leadlights Ensemble!\nThis past spring, composer Evelyn Petcher Brandes invited the local community to create unique melodies and lyrics inspired by what we hear and see everyday in our Inwood neighborhood. Participants shared their musical ideas using only flashcards, boomwackers, bells, and lots of imagination.\nThanks to Inwood Haven workshop participants and community feedback, Brandes was able to create an original composition celebrating Inwood and now it’s finally time for you to hear your musical ideas come to life!\nDyckman Farmhouse Museum is thrilled to be welcoming back Evelyn Petcher Brandes, along with a few talented friends and musicians, for the Inwood Haven culminating performance on our back porch.\nBack Porch Concert: The Seasons of Inwood will begin with the hip-hop rhymes and rhythms of Randy Mason accompanied by Jamell Ogbonna!\nEvelyn Petcher Brandes and Leadlights Ensemble will then take the stage to perform Evelyn Petcher Brandes’ never-before-heard Inwood Haven composition: The Seasons of Inwood.\nFinally, Leadlights Ensemble will finish off the event with the sweet and serene sounds of chamber music, including arrangements of jazz, classical, and pop tunes!\nSounds like the perfect way to spend a Friday evening in Inwood to me…\nDate: Friday, September 25, 2026\nTime: 6:30pm-8:30pm\n\nRain Date and Time: Saturday, September 26 from 5pm-7pm\n\nCost: FREE\nRSVP Required?
