SUMMARY:The Heirloom Room + RIMA JEWELS
DESCRIPTION:\nThe Heirloom Room is a social practice workshop devised by local artist Rosario Moore Arteaga and made possible through the LMCC Su-Casa Residency. The Heirloom Room explores topics of cultural legacy and inheritance through multiple means including collecting and illustrating proverbs, reading and writing poetry and crafting one of a kind sterling silver jewelry works. Participants from the ARC XVI Senior Center will be on site to talk about their multi-media creations, process, and their lost wax cast sterling silver jewelry. Their original poems will also be read aloud.
