DESCRIPTION:The New York Society of Women Artists (NYSWA) is pleased to announce the inaugural celebration of its Centennial Year with the opening of Reflections on Progress: 100 Years of the New York Society of Women Artists which opens on March 14, 2025, at the Interchurch Center Gallery in New York City during Women’s History Month.\nThe Reflections on Progress exhibition offers a dynamic exploration of NYSWA’s century-long legacy. It features 48 works from both the organization’s pioneering founding members and its contemporary artists, demonstrating how the fight for visibility, equality, and environmental consciousness remains just as relevant today. The exhibition will span both the Treasure Room and the main lobby of the Interchurch Center Gallery, offering a compelling juxtaposition of historical and modern artistic expressions.\nIn celebration of this significant milestone, NYSWA will host a free, open to the public, Artists Reception on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, featuring a special musical performance by the renowned Harlem Jazzmobile at 7 pm.\n
