DESCRIPTION:\nYour design will be the emblem of this iconic month-long celebration!\n\n\n\n2025 THEME:  Create an image that best symbolizes the spirit of Uptown arts and culture.\n\n\n\nAWARDS Grand Prize: $2,0002nd place: $1,000 3rd place: $500\n\n\n\nELIGIBILITY   Artists must live or work in West Harlem, Washington Heights or Inwood residents (from W 125th to W 220th St) \n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS \n\n\n\n\nUnpublished original artwork \n\n\n\nReproducible on a large scale (up to 6 feet high)  \n\n\n\nArtwork must include the phrase “Uptown Arts Stroll/Paseo de las Artes” \n\n\n\nArtwork must be in a vertical format and be legible in various sizes for print and social media \n\n\n\nArtists may only submit one (1) artwork for consideration \n\n\n\n\nHISTORY  \n\n\n\nThe 23rd Uptown Arts Stroll/Paseo de las Artes takes place throughout June 2025 from West 125th to West 220th Street in West Harlem, Washington Heights & Inwood. The Uptown Arts Stroll started as a volunteer organized one-day event the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2003 and grew into a month-long festival celebrating northern Manhattan’s visual and performing artists.
