Clothing certainly doesn’t determine our value as human beings, but it shares and/or hides information about ourselves, our circumstances, and our experiences.  Clothing is a complex subject. Do we judge each other based on clothing? When do we choose to “dress up” or “dress down”? Why do we “dress to impress”? Do we wear an imposed or chosen uniform? Has COVID impacted the way we dress? Is there a gender bias in dress codes? What is the impact of “fashion standards” on our wellbeing?  \n\n\n\nWe invite artists to approach all aspects of the subject, from the societal to the personal, from the individual to the collective, and from the literal to the poetic.  \n\n\n\nAndrea Arroyo, Curator\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVIEW THE IMAGE LIST – WITH PRICES – HERE ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cS4wfEarIZ7-_iFoN-YKDXgd1wDS5F_2RjKlwuLxXNk/edit?usp=sharing )\n\n\n\n\nDenise Penizzotto, Sargent and Me with Mrs. Carl Meyers and Her Children, 2018, Oil and gold thread on canvas, 86" x 54"Darcy Rogers, Easter Parade, 2022, Inkjet print, 17" x 11"Debbie Taylor-Kerman, Today Was a Good Day, 2023, Acrylic on canvas, 24" x 48"Kathleen Holloway, Shopping Day, 2018, Digital photograph, 14" x 9"Rose Deler, Maker, 2024, White clay, oxidation fire to cone 05, underglaze, glaze, highfire wire, 11" x 16" x 7"Rose Deler, Maker, 2024, White clay, oxidation fire to cone 05, underglaze, glaze, highfire wire, 11" x 16" x 7"Uniqua Simmons, Speak Your Personal Truths, 2023, Cotton, hand dyed fabric, cowrie shell, clam shell, glass beads, brass wire, 56" x 54"Junell Brazier‚ Crown Of Heritage, 2023, Oil on canvas, 36" x 24"Kaé Sato, Waltz-Evening, 2024, Mixed media on canvas, 30" x 18"Kathia Regalado, Kendall Day, Ithaca 2018, 2024, Oil on canvas, 16" x 20"Chae Kihn, Quinceanera Church Of Santo Domingo de Guzman, Oaxaca Mexico, 2017 Archival inkjet pigment print, 18" x 18"Chandler Borrero/Rafaelina Tineo, Chandler & The 80’s, 2020, Photographic print on cold press fine art paper 310gsm, 20" x 30"Leah Poller, Bed Clothes, 2016, Bronze, 12” x 9” x 9.5”Bonnie Phillips, 116 Platform, 2023, Oil on canvas, 20" x 16"Sky Pape, Run, 2002, Ink on handmade lokta paper, 26.5" x 19.75"Rosa Naparstek, Judith's Song, Mixed media with text, 2018, 16" x 85" x 6"Adaley Muñoz, La Que Ta Buena Soy Yo, 2022, Gouache and pencil on wood, 16" x 20"Patricia Miranda, Dreaming Awake I, 2020, Vintage Italian apron dyed with cochineal insect dye, cast plaster, ex-votos, dressmaker pins, 48" x 16"x 4"Patricia Miranda, Dreaming Awake II, 2021, Vintage Italian textile dyed with cochineal insect dye, cast plaster, ex-votos, dressmaker pins, 50" x 24" x 14"Tomo Mori, A Girl Wandering in Time and Space, 2019, Acrylic, fabric scraps, masonite board, wood frame, 29" x 35" x 2"Rafaela Luna, Serie: Re-Thinking the Way I Feel about Myself, 2024, Mixed media on canvas, 30" x 40"Tamara Wasserman, Abortion Dress (Hysterical Female), 2022, Silver gelatin print, 11" x 14"Julia Justo, Nation For All, 2022, Mixed media, 15" x 18" x 10"Ruthy Valdez, Phoenix, 2020, Acrylic on canvas, 36"x 24"Charlecia Joy, Rush, 2016, Acrylic on canvas, 20" x 16"Camilla Huey, Transgressing: The Past, 2024, Mixed media, 43" x 33"Josefina Hernandez, Ephemeral|Eternal, 2023, Cyanotype and linen thread on canvas, 36” x 22”Wilhelmina Grant-Cooper, Tin Pan Ellie, 2024, 25" x 15" x 3", Found object assemblageKat Gooch-Breault, Does Not Meet Expectations: A+, 2024, Acrylic on panel, 12" x 18"Maria Fernandez, Sister in Brown Habits, 2023, Photographic print on canvas, 20" x 16"Maria Fernandez, Hijab in Public, 2021, Photographic print on canvas, 16" x 20", $300.00Elsie Deliz, Pinky, 2023, Watercolor on paper, 16" x 12", $500Arcadia Caraballo, Ekayani with Red Tutu, 2023, Charcoal and oil pastel on paper, 9, 24" x 18"Cathleen Campbell, Queen Elder of 125th Street, 2017, Archival inkjet print, 14" x 11"Melanie Brewster, A(r)mor for Love, 2022, Handwoven textile with upcycled velour pants, vintage silver chains, and pierced with rose quartz towers, 20" x 20" x 8"Julie Berman, Strut, 2010, Silver gelatin print, 10" x 8"Julie Berman, Primp, 1964 (printed 2019), Silver gelatin print, 8" x 10"Julie Berman, Love is Legal, 2017, Silver gelatin print, 8" x 10"Yael Ben-Zion, Shirts, 2007, Digital c-print, 20" x 20"Carla Bellisio, Family Linen Candia, 2022, Ink jet print, 11" x 17"Robbie Bailey, TONY Sara B and Joe, 2023, Photograph, 24" x 36"Robbie Bailey, TONY Lin and Luis, 2023, Photograph, 24" x 36"Robbie Bailey, TONY AWARDS, 2023, Photograph, 24" x 36"Lisa Candela/strong>, Visible Imprints, 2023, Oil and acrylic on papier-mâché, 27" x 17" x 8"Miggy Buck, Saturday Night, 2024, 22" x 10" x 5", Wood, paperclay, chipboard, acrylicPatrice Yourdon, Beatrice Pinafore, 2011, Metal screws in nylon mesh, 18" x 12" x 12"\n
