DESCRIPTION:Join us for the closing reception of “STILLNESS“ a Duo Exhibition by Edgar Hernández and Josefina Hernández.\n“Stillness” brings together the work of father and daughter, two artists who approach their art as a meditative practice that counters the fast paced, and distracted ways in which our society operates. Their distinct techniques —painting on canvas and paper cutting—converge as they engage in a fluid conversation where their internal worlds are seamlessly interconnected. It is their hope that viewers will take a moment of contemplation to take in the works.\nEdgar Hernandez is a Colombian artist currently experimenting with acrylic on canvas. He was born in Bogotá, Colombia where he earned his BA in Architecture in 1981. He worked as an architect until 2001 when he moved to Toronto, Canada where he resides now.
