SUMMARY:Plant Sketch Walk
DESCRIPTION:Bring your sketchbook, color pencils or other drawing tools of choice, and your acumen as we wander in search of beautiful, strange, everyday or odd plants to sketch in the Heights! All ages welcome. We will walk from the steps of 615 West 186th St east to Laurel Terrace, down to 181st St, and back up Audubon Avenue, looking for plants, trees, flowers, vines, and more–from cultivated gardens to beautiful “weeds”–and capture them on paper. Walk ends back at 186th St, where we will compare our sketches. All participants will receive a free copy of my “Plantas de mi Barrio/Plants of My Neighborhood” booklet, and a few seeds to plant.\n
