DESCRIPTION:Matthew Westerby Company presents Uptown Dances on the Lawn!\nIncluding performances of MWC repertory and a new work created specifically for the beautiful setting of Dongan Lawn and its unique Amphitheater-style shape in collaboration with composer John P. Hastings. The performances will include MWC 2, newly formed in 2022, and guest performer Lisa Green. \nThe event will also feature interactive activities for all ages, including community yoga, dance for children and art-making! Join us on the lawn – free for everyone!\nThis program is made possible in part by support from the Fort Tryon Park Trust. This project is funded, in part, through a Seed Fund for Dance grant from the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation, thanks to the support of the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.\n
