DESCRIPTION:Pigeonwing Dance’s Carpet Series, for five highly-trained contemporary ballet dancers, is a compact popup performance rich in detail, complexity and virtuosity.  It takes place on and around a 5 x 8 Persian carpet, with choreography by 2020 Guggenheim Fellow Gabrielle Lamb .\nAt Cabrini Greenspace, Pigeonwing will be accompanied by violinist Derek Ratzenboeck of the New York City Ballet Orchestra.   \nThis is a casual popup event.  Arrive when you can, and families are welcome.  There is no charge to attend, but your donations and support keep us dancing!\n“What defines a stage these days?
