DESCRIPTION:\nPigeonwing Dance’s Carpet Series, for five highly-trained contemporary ballet dancers, is a compact popup performance rich in detail, complexity and virtuosity.  It takes place on and around a 5 x 8 Persian carpet, with choreography by 2020 Guggenheim Fellow Gabrielle Lamb .\nAt the Cabrini Shine Green Space, Pigeonwing will be accompanied by violinist Derek Ratzenboeck of the New York City Ballet Orchestra.   \nThis is a casual popup event.  Arrive when you can, and families are welcome.  There is no charge to attend, but your donations and support keep us dancing!\n“What defines a stage these days?
