DESCRIPTION:\n38 chalk labyrinths encircling the cloisters on Margaret Corbin Dr.\n\n\n\nJune 6th 2021, 11:00am\n\n\n\nwww.chriskaczmarek.com\n\n\n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/chris.kaczmarek ( https://www.facebook.com/chris.kaczmarek )https://www.instagram.com/chris.kaczmarek/ ( https://www.instagram.com/chris.kaczmarek/ )\n\n\n\nArtist Christopher Kaczmarek will draw 38 individual chalk labyrinth encircling the Cloisters on Margaret Corbin Dr.  This work of durational drawing will be a celebration of the upcoming solstice and the museum (which was opened to the public in 1938) as an intuitional member of the neighborhood community.  The use of the symbol of the labyrinth, the form of the circle, and shared public space as the elements for this ephemeral work, connects our recent and ancient history with our collective hope for a positive future as we emerge from dark times.\n\n\n\nThe drawing of the chalk labyrinths will commence at 11:00 June 6th and continue until complete.  The work will remain until foot traffic and weather wear them away.\n
